About OATA Myanmar

OATA (Overseas Agro Traders Association) was formed to represent the collective interests of Foreign owned Agro Trading Companies having a base in Myanmar for buying, selling and shipping of Beans & Pulses, Yellow Maize, Rice and other tertiary agricultural commodities produced in Myanmar.

The members of the group are well known, respected MNC’s and smaller highly specialized setups which cumulatively accounts for a very large percent of the total exports of these products from Myanmar.

OATA is regularly being invited by Ministry of Consumer Affairs for their regular situation update and seeking our advise for policy making and if any regulatory changes required to ensure smooth flow of biz.

Recently, OATA attended meeting invited by Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food& Public Distribution Department of Consumer Affairs (Price Monitoring Division). OATA requested to annouce the OGL extension as soon as possible. Further requested to consider GMB in OGL. We also asked for the clarification on the current OGL shipment date, as per them it should be BL date. But they say they will clarify soon.
